Why the buckles differ: Both collars have a breakaway buckle that releases if your cat gets caught. The kitten buckle releases at a lighter force of 600g, because kittens weigh less and need it to open sooner. The classic buckle releases at a higher force, matched to an adult cat.

Keep your kitten in the Petite Collar until they've reached 2.5kg, even if the Classic Collar would technically fit around their neck.

Both sizes are just 1cm wide, designed to sit comfortably without adding unnecessary bulk, and compatible with a variety of tracker accessories.

If you don't know their weight: Measure loosely round their neck with a soft tape or a length of string against a ruler and match it to the lengths above.

A note about our leather

Our collars are made from full-grain leather, so each piece has its own natural character. You may notice slight variations in texture and softness - these are hallmarks of quality, not flaws. Over time, the leather will soften and mould to your cat's movements for a comfortable, personalised fit. Unlike collars with a raw suede interior, ours are finished on both sides, which means no moisture absorption and nothing rough against their skin.

What size kitten is this collar for?

Our kitten collar fits kittens from 1kg to 2.5kg, fully adjustable from 13cm to 20cm. There are no fixed holes, so it grows with your kitten between growth spurts.

Is the breakaway buckle safe for such a small kitten?

Yes. It's purpose-built for kittens, calibrated to release at around 600g of force, light enough for a kitten's smaller frame and weaker pull.

My kitten keeps pawing at the collar. What should I do?

This can be normal at first. Keep early sessions short rather than leaving it on all day straight away, and pair it with something they already like, playtime or a treat. Most kittens stop noticing it within days.

When do I move my kitten up to the adult collar?

Once your kitten reaches around 2.5kg. Past that weight, the collar can start releasing on its own during normal movement, since it's calibrated to a lighter kitten. Time to size up to the Classic Collar.

Will flea treatments damage the leather?

Spot-on flea and worming treatments can damage the leather. Take the collar off before applying, and leave it off for at least 48 hours after.

Can my kitten wear the collar all the time?

Yes, once they're settled and comfortable. Check the fit every few weeks, since kittens grow fast, and don't worry if you notice a slight parting in their fur where the collar sits. That's normal and it disappears if the collar comes off.

Behind the brand

Atlas was my soul cat, the one who started it all. When we lost him in 2023, I wanted to create something that kept a little piece of him with me.

The leather feels very supple and durable. The creamy white colour looks very smart on our kitten. The collar fits well and she seems very comfortable. It arrived in a day. We plan to pick up the adult size when she’s fully grown. Thanks for such a well designed collar.

Only collar my kitten tolerates
Honey, our 15week old has refused to ware most other collars. The easy release buckle went on in no fuss and it’s nice not worrying about her choking herself. She is ginger after all. Was sized perfectly with enough in it for her to grow.
