Why the buckles differ: Both collars have a breakaway buckle that releases if your cat gets caught. The kitten buckle releases at a lighter force of 600g, because kittens weigh less and need it to open sooner. The classic buckle releases at a higher force, matched to an adult cat.

Keep your kitten in the Petite Collar until they've reached 2.5kg, even if the Classic Collar would technically fit around their neck.

Both sizes are just 1cm wide, designed to sit comfortably without adding unnecessary bulk, and compatible with a variety of tracker accessories.

If you don't know their weight: Measure loosely round their neck with a soft tape or a length of string against a ruler and match it to the lengths above.

Our collars are made from full-grain double-sided leather, so they're comfortable against their skin and nothing like the scratchy synthetic materials most cats spend their days trying to remove. And the fit adjusts to the millimetre across a 17cm to 28cm range, for a fit that's right for your cat.

A note about our leather

Our collars are made from full-grain leather, so each piece has its own natural character. You may notice slight variations in texture and softness - these are hallmarks of quality, not flaws. Over time, the leather will soften and mould to your cat's movements for a comfortable, personalised fit. Unlike collars with a raw suede interior, ours are finished on both sides, which means no moisture absorption and nothing rough against the skin.

Collar FAQs

Will the breakaway buckle release too easily, or fail to release when it matters?

No. Our vet-approved breakaway buckle releases on its own under real pressure, the kind that happens if a collar catches on a fence, furniture or in a tight gap, not from everyday scratching or play. The kitten collar uses a lighter calibration, needing just 600g of force to release, light enough for a smaller neck.

How do I know the fit is right?

If you can slide two fingers between the collar and your cat's neck, that's the right fit. Adjust with the slide buckle any time, especially as a kitten grows.

Will this actually work for a cat who's rejected collars before?

Most cats who reject collars have never worn one that fits this well. Collars usually come off for one of two reasons: a loose fit that lets things slip underneath and trigger the buckle, or discomfort that makes a cat paw at it. The slide adjuster fixes the fit, and full-grain leather feels different against the skin than nylon or plastic. That's usually enough to change a cat's mind.

Will flea treatments damage the leather?

Spot-on flea and worming treatments can damage the leather. Take the collar off before applying, and leave it off for at least 48 hours after.

Can my cat wear the collar all the time?

Yes, once they're settled and comfortable. Check the fit every few weeks, especially while your cat is still growing, and don't worry if you notice a slight parting in their fur where the collar sits. That's normal, and it disappears if the collar comes off.

Behind the brand

Atlas was my soul cat, the one who started it all. When we lost him in 2023, I wanted to create something that kept a little piece of him with me.

Awesome cat collars!

Good quality!!
The collars look and feel both comfortable and durable plus it’s safe which is all that really matters!!
Both my babies have long fur so I went for bright colour's but the brass ID tag always peaks through so that’s great!!

I was looking for something low-tox, lightweight, safe and beautiful... Atlas and co checked all the boxes.
I bought the sage green, and it's perfect, soft, buttery leather, lightweight and the safety mech is perfect for a young and active cat like Aggie. I was nervous Ag would hate it, but she's adjusted well, and we're having no issues.

The Only Collar Fit For My Cat
